There are a variety of opportunities for those interested in this ministry. Parish Choir, Cantors, Funeral Mass Choir, All Women’s Select Choir, Children’s Choir. The choir serves the liturgy by enhancing the song of the assembly and facilitates assembly singing. Choir members do not need to know how to read music. Cooperation, a willingness to learn and commitment to the prayer of the people create the ingredients that shape good choir members. Cantors need to be strong in their music and vocal skills. Drawn from mandatory membership in the parish choir and selected by the director of music, these committed musicians undergo a degree of formal training.
